The Self Cleaning Process Cleaning of the filter is carried out by the brush which spirals across the screen; The Drain Valve opens and the Motor rotates the stainless steel brushes which sweep the inner surface of the cylindrical screen. The particles trapped on the screen are dislodged by the brushes and flushed out the drain valve. During the self cleaning process, which takes between 30 seconds,filtered water continues to flow downstream.
